22nd Annual Polar Bear Plunge Registration Is Now Open!

Preregistration is open now and closes at 12 pm on Friday, January 10th, 2025. To receive a 2025 Polar Bear Plunge long sleeve t-shirt, you must be registered by Thursday, December 26th, 2024. Plungers that register after December 26th will not receive a t-shirt.

Fundraising Prizes

Start your own fundraising page and, if you reach one of the donation levels below by the end of the preregistration date, you will receive a small token of thanks. Preregistration for the Polar Bear Plunge closes at 12 pm on Friday, January 10th, 2025. Incentives are awarded to individual fundraising goals and do not apply to team totals.

How To Build A Polar Bear Team

Day-of Registration

Day-of registration and check-in will be open from 10:30am to 11:45am. Prizes will be awarded at 11:45am for Best Individual Costume, Best Team Costume, Most Money Raised by an Individual, Most Money Raised by a Team, and Most Participants on a Team. The plunge will commence at noon!

Virtual Plungers

Interested in supporting the animals at HSWC but unable to attend this year's plunge in-person? Become a virtual plunger! Virtual plungers who register by Thursday, December 26th, 2025 will receive a 2025 Polar Bear Plunge long sleeve t-shirt, have access to helpful fundraising tools, and be eligible to earn the same incentive prizes as in-person plungers. Submit your virtual plunge video to HSWC via Facebook Messenger or to jdraper@hswcmd.org by January 13th for your chance to win Most Creative Virtual Plunge!
