We're excited to bring back the Pooch Plunge VIP Hour—a special early entry for dogs who are seniors, service animals, intimidated by crowds, or have physical limitations. With a limit of just 25 dogs, this exclusive hour ensures a calm, comfortable experience for your very special pup.

VIP Hour - Potterfield Pool

• Location: 730 Frederick St., Hagerstown
• Date: Tuesday, September 2nd
• Time: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Cost: $15.00 per dog (advanced purchase required)
• Donations: Admission for people is free, but donations are appreciated
• Pool Features: Splashpad and walk in ramp

Good news—if your pup is having fun, they can stay! Your VIP ticket also includes admission to the regular Pooch Plunge from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Regular Admission - Potterfield Pool

• Cost: $5.00 per dog (pay at the gate)
• Donations: Admission for people is free, but donations are appreciated

Whether your dog is a swimming pro or just wants to splash around, Pooch Plunge is the ultimate end-of-summer event for pups and their people!

Note: Event may be canceled in case of inclement weather. There will be no rain date.

Important Pooch Plunge Rules - To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please review and follow the rules below:

1. Vaccination Required: Only fully vaccinated dogs are permitted. Puppies under 4 months old are not allowed due to vaccination requirements.
2. Collar & ID: All dogs must wear a collar with proper identification at all times.
3. Restricted Participation: The following dogs are not permitted:
   • Dogs in any stage of heat
   • Puppies under 4 months of age
   • Dogs showing signs of illness
4. Adult Supervision: Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
5. Handler Requirements: Dog handlers must be 18 years or older and may bring a maximum of two dogs.
6. Control: Dogs must be kept under control at all times.
7. Leashing: Dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the facility, and must be immediately leashed at the first sign of aggression.
8. Aggressive Behavior: Any dog displaying aggression toward people or other dogs must be leashed and removed from the event immediately.
9. Clean-Up Required: Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Waste bags and disposal stations will be available on-site.
10. Respect Your Dog’s Comfort: Do not force your dog into the water. Some dogs may prefer to socialize rather than swim—please respect their comfort and preferences.
11. Liability Notice: Participation is at your own risk. Attendees assume full responsibility for themselves, their dogs, and any accompanying children. This includes any injury or incident that may occur.
