Help the Humane Society of Washington County celebrate 100 years of helping animals with a donation towards our Centennial Celebration Campaign!
100 years of refuge, care, and hope.
Tens of thousands of animals saved.
Countless families made complete.
As we look toward the next 100 years, HSWC will undertake an ambitious agenda that will save more animals than ever before through innovative, community-based programs. Over the next year, we will launch exciting new initiatives designed to improve outcomes for the animals we serve and the people who love them.
We will significantly reduce the number of unwanted animals born into our community by growing our Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program and by expanding access to high-quality, low-cost spay/neuter services at HSWC’s Veterinary Center.
We will support struggling pet owners by helping them overcome temporary obstacles that might otherwise force them to surrender their beloved pet.
And we will save even more innocent lives by implementing innovative placement options for felines and increasing transfers to trusted shelter partners throughout the region.
Within the shelter, a number of critical improvements will enable us to better meet the physical and behavioral needs of the animals who pass through our doors. These changes will reduce animal stress, minimize disease transmission, shorten time in care, and boost the overall success of our life-changing work.
In celebration of HSWC’s first century of success and to secure the vitality of HSWC for the next 100 years, we invite you to make a gift toward our year-long Centennial Campaign. Together we'll step forward into a new century, full of hope for the animals of Washington County.
