Halee Vogt Memorial Canine Behavior and Enrichment Fund

Halee Vogt joined HSWC in 2019 as an Animal Care Technician. As a beloved team member, she demonstrated great skill with the shelter's canine population and moved into the role of Canine Coordinator. Halee was a passionate advocate for the dogs in our care and loved them as if each were her own. In fact, she often referred to them as her children.

Halee's contributions over the years have had an incredible impact on both the animals and future of our organization. Among other accomplishments, Halee spearheaded the growth of our dog foster program, partnered with volunteers to launch our robust dog training program, and most recently, established and trained staff to run regular dog play groups.

...But she always wanted to do more.

Halee dreamt of expanding our canine training and enrichment programs. She wanted to make life richer for dogs while they were in the shelter, increase their adoptability, and set them up for long-term success once in their new homes.

To honor Halee and to ensure her dreams become reality, HSWC has established the Halee Vogt Memorial Canine Behavior and Enrichment Fund. Through this fund, Halee will forever have a positive impact on the shelter dogs, who she so deeply loved.
